Cranbrook State School offers a number of Excellence Programs to strengthen academic performance and enhance personal growth. At Cranbrook, we offer excellence in three key areas to maximise opportunites for every student: Sports Excellence, Arts Excellence (Visual Arts Excellence and Drama Excellence) and Digital Excellence.
Sports Excellence
Cranbrook State School offers a Sports Excellence Program for selected students in Years 4 to 6. Entry into the program is based on the following criteria:
- Sporting ability
- Sportsmanship qualities
- Academic results
Students participate in weekly sessions held at school each Wednesday from 8:00 am to 9:10am. The program provides opportunities for students to further develop their skills, commitment, teamwork, and leadership in a supportive school environment.
Drama Excellence
Cranbrook State School offers a Drama Excellence Program for selected students in Years 3 to 6. Entry into the programme is based on the following criteria:
- Strong interest in Drama
- Academic results
- Audition classes
Students participate in weekly sessions held each Tuesday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in The Arts Block. The program provides opportunities for students to build confidence, creativity, performance skills, teamwork, and resilience in a fun and playful environment.
Visual Arts Excellence
Cranbrook State School offers a Visual Arts Excellence Program for selected students in Years 3 to 6. Entry into the program is based on the following criteria:
- Strong interest in Visual Arts
- Academic results
- Audition or selection process
Students participate in weekly sessions held each Wednesday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in The Arts Block. The program provides opportunities for students to extend their creativity, artistic skills, confidence, and understanding of a range of art mediums and techniques.
